I have literally wanted to make this Potions Busy Book activity for a year and have been waiting for Halloween to come so I could create it for you!

Hazel was so excited to help me create it as she worked the laminator (with supervision), stuck on the velcro dots, and started testing out all the systems of the ingredients cards.

As soon as the older two kids got home from school, she immediately grabbed the pages to share with them in the pretend play of it all.

In this printable Halloween kids activity, you can use the 12 done for you potion recipe cards, or use one of the 6 make your own. It allows all ages to get creative with what they put in their cauldrons.

Choose to let your child do this activity on her own, or sit beside her and join in the mixing and matching creativity. However you opt to play, you are in for some lovely imagination and learning time.

What Is Included In Your Halloween Printable

Since my kids can get a little skittish around the more spooky (or even less spooky) trends of Halloween, I intentionally designed each potion ingredient to be non-scary. No animals had to die, no bones were collected. All of the items are generally happy, but still a bit gross to add to the Halloween fun of it all.

How To Use The Potions Busy Book

To prep your Potions Busy Book, you will need a few additional materials. Once you have everything you need, you are just about ready to play.

👻Print the pages you need. There is a cauldron, ingredients, storage jars, 12 done for your potions cards, and 6 make your own potions cards.
👻Cut out your ingredients squares and potion cards
👻Laminate and put on velcro dots. You must buy the laminating materials and velcro dots yourself as you assemble your pages on your own.
👻Start mixing up some potions!
