With these Kid-Friendly Minute To Win It cards, you can get the whole group involved in a fun game that will create lasting memories. Just print your cards, gather your materials from around the house, and you are set to play!
For my husband’s 40th birthday, I threw him a little “40 Years of Fun & Games” party.
The party included lots of board game options, card games, and snacks. While we cycled through lots of games during the party, the highlight was getting all the party guests, ages 2-72, hysterically laughing over a group game Minute To Win It.
The week before the party, I spent a good amount of time researching Minute To Win It games that would be best for children as I wanted everyone to be included in the fun without the younger kids feeling left out. There are some excellent versions out there, but not all of them would work for our group or our space.
My criteria for kid-friendly minute to win it options were the game:
- could be modified in multiple ways: picking colored rice out with chopsticks, tweezers, or fingers.
- was easy for everyone to understand how to play.
- could be played sitting down (for the older crowd who have trouble standing for too long)
- could be played in a smaller space / indoors
We adjusted the time it took to complete a task for the younger kids so they could have a chance to do the task successfully.
I also aimed for most of the games to have items that I could find around the house. It made it so much easier to pull all the materials together and have them on a table during the party so everything we needed was right at hand.
Having young kids during New Years can often feel a little lackluster since the holiday is normally celebrated with late nights out, loud parties, and lots of cocktails. Long gone are the days of all three of these things for me, but I still want to celebrate.
With this kid-friendly New Year’s Charades game, you can gather together to play and make some silly memories. The kids will love moving their bodies in creative and new ways as they try to physically act out each movement card.

How To Play
To set up your cards, just print the 3 pages of cards. I recommend using card stock.
After you cut out your cards, I highly recommend you laminate them. These will likely be on a table with drinks and snacks, so laminating will protect them.
Once you gather all your materials to play each card, pile your Kid-Friendly Minute To Win It Cards on the table, or put them in a jar.
Pick one card at a time. Follow the directions for play.
Optional: Keep a score of who wins each game for an ending prize.
