Never lose track of which playground has what equipment again with this printable playground tracker. Simply bring your playground tracker with you, or complete it when you get home, and have a list of the best playgrounds for you and your family to visit whenever you are headed out for playground time.
I love a good playground.
Not only does it get the kids active, but a playground with multiple features lets the kids discover new ways to move, explore, and challenge themselves. If the playground is big enough, I have been known to pack up lunches and head off to play for a few hours before having a lunch break and heading home for naps.
However, with how many playgrounds we tend to visit, especially during the summer months when our schedule is more open, I lose track of which playground had what. I have actually spent over an hour searching online for one specific playground we visited when we first moved to our town and I didn’t know my way around. The kids had loved it there, but I couldn’t figure out which one it was.
Features
This playground tracker is designed to not only give you a place to write the address of the playground, but to note what features the playgrounds have. When you are planning which playground to visit for the morning, an hour, or for a full day adventure, you can plan accordingly.
A playground that has some shade, a splash pad, a zipline, a sandbox, and a zipline are usually wins for all three of the kids.
There is also space to write the nickname your family has for specific playgrounds. We seem to never call a play area by its real name, but have nicknames for them like: Car Playground, Elsa Playground, Spiderweb Playground, and Slide Playground. I personally know which playground each of these are, but it helps others (babysitters, grandparents) to have it written down.

How To Use Your Playground Tracker
Once you purchase your Playground Tracker, simply print it (in color or black and white based on your preferences) and start filling it in!
Each icon on the printable gives you a list of the different equipment, extras, and amenities that could be available at the playground. There is also a space for notes so you can write down anything else you want to remember about that specific spot.
This is the kind of activity my almost 6 year old would absolutely love to do. We are going to take the tracker, a clipboard, and a pen with us to our new-to-us playgrounds we visit this summer. It will be her task to go around the playground and mark down the equipment, extras, and amenities. She is just going to love this job!
