This Color Your Own Fall Memory free printable gives you coloring pages, matching, cutting skills, and gluing practice all in one! An excellent set of activities you can spread out over a few days, or do all at once.
Just as I was adding the last image, Zoey, my 8 year old, peeked over my shoulder and asked, “Mom, when that’s done, can I do it?”
She just couldn’t wait to get her hands on these Color Your Own Fall Memory Cards and right after I replied, “Of course,” she hopped (literally) right over to pick out her marker colors.
This is the kind of joy and excitement I so adore bringing to my kids. This conversation happened before breakfast, at 7am, and the printable was ready to bring her a couple hours of coloring, gluing, cutting, and helping me laminate. A full day of activity at the ready.
That’s the kind of printable I love using with my own kids and the type I strive to bring to you: a multi-skill, multi-step activity all in one.

How To Use This Color Your Own Fall Memory Cards
My kids seem to enjoy spreading these steps out over 2-3 days. Of course, this all depends on how busy we are that week and how long their attention spans will last.
You can choose to do a few cards at a time, or to do a few steps at a time vs all at once. It really depends on your child’s needs and skills. There is no wrong way to go about it as you are still providing them with all the skills to practice.
1. Color the cards. I like to keep the pages intact to color them.
2. Cut out squares the and glue them to a colorful piece of cardstock or construction paper. If you skip gluing it to another page, you risk the kids trying to peek through the back of the cards to see what is on the other side.
3. Cut out the squares from the cardstock. You are ready to play at this stage!
If you have time, you can take it one step further and laminate your memory cards. This is a version of the laminator I have had for ages and use constantly.
How To Play Fall Memory
After your game is ready to go, you get to play actual memory!
1. Place all the cards facedown. I like to use a grid pattern.
2. Player 1 flips over two cards. If they match, Player 1 keeps them and flips two more cards. If the cards don’t match, Player 1 flips them back over in the same spot the cards were originally.
3. Step 2 continues for the remaining players.
4. Continue with all taking turns to flip and find matches. Once there are. nomore matches to be made, the game is over. The person with the most matches wins the game!
All ages can join in on this game. The kids get so excited to see their drawings being in use!
